Board of Election Commissioners
The Township election commission is in charge of all Township elections.

Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees is the policy making body for the Charter Township of Canton.

Building Authority
This authority's members oversee construction of township facilities through the sale of bonds.

Building Board of Appeals
This Board hears appeals of local building codes

Board of Ethics
The Board of Ethics acts as a quasi-judicial body and is required to follow accepted procedures and fairly evaluate all relevant facts in each case that comes before it.

Canton Cares Fund Advisory Committee
This committee reviews requests and advises on the proper use of the spending of the Canton Cares Fund. The fund is a 501 (c)(3) program in partnership with the Canton Community Foundation that assists families in need following a disaster as well as supports areas within the Township including Police and Fire award ceremonies where outstanding performance is recognized; The BLOCK Youth and Teen program which supports at-risk kids; Senior programming that provides resources to our senior citizens; Therapeutic Recreation, Clerk Scholarships and more.

CDBG is an advisory group to the Board of Trustees

Downtown Development Authority Board
The Downtown Development Authority oversees the development of the designated downtown area.

Historic District Commission
This Commission is responsible for reviewing any proposed changes to the exterior of structures listed as local historic districts, and preserve important historic characteristics.

Leisure Services Advisory Committee
The Leisure Services Advisory Committee (LSAC) provides input and guidance to Canton Leisure Services as the organization endeavors to enhance health, family and community through innovative programs, diverse services and premier facilities.

This Commission serves as a civil service commission for non-union Canton employees.

Planning Commission
The Planning Commission is an appointed body that reviews proposed development projects and makes recommendations to the township Board of Trustees.

Tax Board of Review
The Tax Board of Review is required by Michigan State Law. The Board is necessary to examine the assessment roll for the year, and also to consider appeals.
